Everything I’ve done over the years - all of the speaking, writing, coaching and podcasting - has been done with one underlying goal… to move people.
And not just to move them, but to move them to take action.
To encourage them to stop playing small.
So you might think that I'd be a big fan of the cliché “go big or go home”, right?
Well, not so much.
Going big is great! Going big is the exact opposite of playing small.
It's the second part of that cliché that’s problematic for me. The idea that if you're not going to take action that can change the world, you might as well stay home. This is a trap that I've fallen victim to over and over again in my life.
I'd like to suggest a different mantra:
GO - onward! (I never said it was original.🙂 )
I know that for me, the idea of "all or nothing" can easily stop me from doing anything. Instead, I try to remind myself that if, for whatever reason, I'm not up to taking BIG action, I owe it to myself to still take action. No matter how small. Taking an action that moves me onward is how I show my gratitude for the gift of today.
Taking an action that moves me onward is how I show my gratitude for the gift of today.
For the next little while, why not give it a test drive?
Go - Onward!
Live like it matters!
